The Waterfront Blues Festival along the grassy banks of the Willamette was loaded with cool blues, hot sunshine and happy people. What is it about the blues that makes me feel so good? I especially enjoyed the more intimate setting of the back porch stage with solo acoustic musicians. I got up close to take a photo of "Blind Boy Paxton" who played guitar and banjo, both with an old time 1920's and 30's feel. When I look at this oil painting I did from the photo, I can still his "candy man, salty dog"!
