Pastry Girl

"Sunset, Mt. Tabor Reservoir" is one of the acrylic landscape paintings I'll be showing at Pastry Girl in January and February. Pastry Girl is a cafe in Montavilla specializing in cakes, pastries and my favorite cookies. They are located at 7919 SE Stark Street, Portland, open at noon every day except closed on Tuesdays. I'll be there Friday, January 6th at 7 pm. Come by for a treat!

Plein Air in the Park

This is one of a series I plan to do in Mt. Tabor Park, in the evening at the middle reservoir facing west. It was a long "schlep" with my easel and gear, so will try to find a closer place to park my car. Sometimes I just walk for exercise, or stop to sketch and take photos. Some scenes cannot be captured by camera and some places are not convenient to paint, so I try everything! There will be an exhibit of art in Portand's parks in November so some of these may appear there. Any day or evening I can walk in the park is a good day!
